Free shipping within Germany, 30-day returns and exchanges – how it works at Bavarian Heritage.

We sell our pieces through our Etsy shop. Here is everything you need to know about shipping, returns and exchanges at a glance.

Shipping

  • Shipping costs: Shipping within Germany is free. Shipping to most other countries is free as well. You can see the exact cost for your country in the Etsy listing before you buy.
  • Processing time: We usually dispatch your order within one business day (Monday to Saturday).
  • Delivery time: Within Germany, parcels are usually on their way for 1–3 business days. For other countries, Etsy shows an estimated delivery date in the listing.
  • Carriers: Deutsche Post, DHL, UPS or Hermes; for international orders also UPS or transglobalexpress. You always receive a tracking link.
  • Packaging: We pack everything shatterproof and, wherever possible, in reused material; delicate items such as books are additionally wrapped in film. Gift wrapping is available on request.
  • Prices: All prices are final prices. As a small business under German law, we do not charge VAT.
  • Customs and import duties: For deliveries to the USA, import duties and fees are already included in the price at Etsy checkout. For deliveries to other countries outside the EU, customs duties or import taxes may be charged by the destination country on delivery.

Returns and exchanges

  • 30 days: You can return items within 30 days of receipt without giving a reason. Instead of a refund, an exchange for another piece from our shop is also possible by arrangement.
  • Return shipping costs: You bear the cost of returning the item. For very large or heavy pieces that can only be returned by freight forwarder, we estimate these costs at a maximum of about 500 euros per item.
  • Refund: We refund the purchase price, including the original shipping costs, via Etsy to the payment method you used. This happens as soon as the item has arrived back with us or you have provided proof of return, and no later than 14 days after your notification.

How a return works

  1. Send us a message via Etsy or an email to [email protected] within 30 days of receipt. Please include your order number.
  2. We confirm the return and send you the return address.
  3. Send the item back well packed, ideally in its original packaging and with tracking.
  4. As soon as the parcel arrives, we issue the refund via Etsy.

Damage in transit

If a parcel arrives visibly damaged, please report it to the delivery driver right away if possible and send us photos of the packaging and the item. We will then find a solution together. This does not affect your statutory warranty rights.

Cancellation

You can cancel an order via Etsy within 24 hours of purchase.

Statutory right of withdrawal

As a consumer, you also have the statutory right of withdrawal. Our terms and conditions and the cancellation policy, including the model withdrawal form, are binding. You can find both in our Etsy shop under “Terms & cancellation policy”, together with the statutory exceptions to the right of withdrawal.
